AFC personnel have completed the only islands producing oil in Alaska’s Beaufort Sea: Endicott, North Star and Oooguruk. In addition, Spy Island Drillsite was constructed in 2008, while Liberty Island was completed in 2009.
Incorporating state of the art design and technology, these islands are enabling the oil industry to extend the realm of exploration and increase production of vital petroleum resources.

AFC meets the challenge of Arctic construction head-on. We have constructed gravel islands over floating ice for offshore oil exploration since 1970s. When exploration was complete, the islands were allowed to erode naturally until no trace is left.
